Time for something completely different

Beim Stöbern nach brauchbarem Material für den Upload bin ich auf diese Perle gestossen. Unser Mittelalter Freikampfverein auf dem Gütsch am Luzerner Mittelaltermarkt. Wir hatten uns ordentlich auf's Dach gegeben. Mindestens dreissig Kilo Material schleppten wir da am Körper herum und dreschten zur Belustigung der Meute ordentlich aufeinander drauf. Wir waren am Abend alle platt.😅


Ist zwar schon eine Weile her, aber ich dachte der Moment und das Thema des Blogs passt dazu. Es wäre ja bald wieder soweit, dass die Mittelalterfeste losgehen würden. Mal sehen, was da noch kommt.

STOP RETARGETING !!! Paragon Char with ALS

  It's a bit older and made for UE4 but I bet you will get the trick. ;-) Turn the way it's done around by exporting as FBX-file to Blender and renaming the bones. Then back as FBX to Unreal Editor et voilà, no more retargeting nonsense.

  Worry not; this worked for me with DAZ3D Genesis 8 figures retargetet for Manny and Quinn in UE5.2.1 - but yet I'm not satisfied with the tingle, tangle, tinkering around. It's better than the raw stuff you get from the or lezz say got. Epic pimped their system by now but still... there is so much troubling the ways of getting all the different models from different artists with their own naming conventions in a convenient fashion over to UE5. Prior to this I posted the forget about retargeting video, where the tutor was using the Advanced Locomotion System with different kinds of actors just by renaming the bones. Found a naice DAZ Script which does this in a semi-automatic style. But, o dizzy head, I should work on it instead of writ(h)ing and rambling about it.
